They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 30-24 heartbreaker at the hands of the Valor Preparatory Academy Owls. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valor Preparatory Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaizen Almanzar, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alivia Robinson, who put up seven points.
Carolina International's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, their victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carolina International will head out to square off against Piedmont Community Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
