Kalida took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Wayne Trace, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats never let the Raiders get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Friday. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Wildcats have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The win made it two in a row for Kalida and bumps their season record up to 7-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Wayne Trace, they moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kalida will welcome Crestview at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games the Knights have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Wayne Trace, they will be playing at home against Lincolnview at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
