Basketball Recap: Will Bergsten Key Part of a Team Effort in Falcon Win

Douglas County West won the last time they faced Arlington and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Douglas County West Falcon took down the Arlington Eagles 47-30. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcon.

Douglas County West got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Will Bergsten out in front who posted 17 points. The dominant performance gave Bergsten a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Trey Olsen, who earned 11 points.

Despite the loss, Arlington still got an impressive performance from Oliver Ladehoff, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trent Koger, who put up seven points and six rebounds.

Douglas County West now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Arlington, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Douglas County West will venture away from home to challenge Raymond Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Douglas County West is facing Raymond Central at the right time seeing as Raymond Central is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Arlington, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Platteview at 2:30 p.m. on December 30th.
