On Friday, Madison Christian got the win against Tree of Life Christian by a conclusive 22-2. While fans of the Eagles might be used to big wins, the 20-run margin marked the team's biggest one yet.
Chloe Rice made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Reese Gibson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Bella Larocca was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Madison Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in 11 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Delaware Christian made easy work of Shekinah Christian on Thursday and carried off a 21-7 win.
Like Madison Christian, Delaware Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Ava Hovda. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Hovda was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashlyn McCoy, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Dhume, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Delaware Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Madison Christian, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
Delaware Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Madison Christian has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Delaware Christian, though, as they've been averaging 9.6 hits. Given Madison Christian's sizable advantage in that area, Delaware Christian will need to find a way to close that gap.
