North Duplin had won three straight home games and Carell Phillips did his part to make it four on Friday. The Rebels breezed past the East Columbus Gators to the tune of 53-12 for which the team can thank Phillips, who rushed for 251 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run.
North Duplin's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for East Columbus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
