Rhinebeck has won three straight games at home, while Pine Plains has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Hawks will welcome the Bombers at 4:15 p.m. The last three games Rhinebeck has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Monday, it was close, but Rhinebeck sidestepped Dover for a 6-5 win. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by just one run.

James Jacox made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, John Haight was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Rhinebeck is undefeated when Haight posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Damian Haag, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Meanwhile, Pine Plains made easy work of Webutuck on Monday and carried off a 14-2 victory. Considering the Bombers have won five games by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Rhinebeck, Pine Plains also got a great game from a two-way player: Warren Lounsbury. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lounsbury was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Pine Plains got a massive performance out of Griffin Atkinson, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Ryan Blass was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Pine Plains' win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Rhinebeck, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rhinebeck has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Pine Plains struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Rhinebeck suffered a grim 25-1 defeat to Pine Plains in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will the Hawks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
