In what's become a running theme this season, the Summertown Eagles gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They breezed by Mt. Pleasant on the road to the tune of 72-15. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-7.
Karlie Campbell was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with six steals. She hasn't dropped below 20 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Ella Busby, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Summertown is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. As for Mt. Pleasant, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.
Summertown and the Panthers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lewis County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Eagles are ranked 18th). As for Mt. Pleasant, they will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
