After flying high against Ozanam last Thursday, The Daniel Academy Lions came back down to earth. The contest between The Daniel Academy and Training Center Christian wasn't particularly close, with The Daniel Academy falling 55-36. It was the first time this season that The Daniel Academy let down their fans at home.
Training Center Christian found their leader in underclassman Creed Lopez, who almost dropped a triple-double on 16 points, nine rebounds, and 18 blocks. Lopez is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Alex Bryan was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
The Daniel Academy's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5. As for Training Center Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.
The Daniel Academy will head out on the road to challenge Blue Ridge Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Training Center Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Frontier School of Excellence at 4:30 p.m.
