The Ingalls Bulldogs suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were dealt a 87-37 loss at the hands of Meade. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ingalls in their matchups with Meade: they've now lost four in a row.
Ingalls' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Simon, who scored nine points along with two blocks. That's the first time this season that Simon posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Lightner, who scored ten points.
Ingalls has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Meade, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
Ingalls and Spearville will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Meade, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pawnee Heights at 8:00 p.m. Pawnee Heights will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Meade is ranked 77th).
