Northside - Pinetown's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Griffin Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Johnson hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for four straight games. Nick Moore was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Jones pushed their score all the way to 71 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a tough 91-71 loss at the hands of East Carteret. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (63), Jones still had to take the loss.
Gabriel Butler put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 6 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 34 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Williams, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Northside - Pinetown has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Jones, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.
Everything came up roses for Northside - Pinetown against the Trojans when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 71-42 victory. With Northside - Pinetown ahead 38-15 at the half, the game was all but over already.
