Saucon Valley proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Palmerton, sneaking past 6-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Saucon Valley let Cole Hubert and Nic Albanese run wild. Hubert scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Albanese went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those two hits gave Albanese a new career-high. Madden Heiserman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame-Green Pond got the win against Catasauqua on Wednesday by a conclusive 15-2. The victory continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Rough Riders: they've now won nine in a row.
The team relied heavily on Colin Pevorus, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Michael Martino was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
Notre Dame-Green Pond hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five strikeouts batters in five consecutive games.
Saucon Valley pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Notre Dame-Green Pond, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Notre Dame-Green Pond's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Saucon Valley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Notre Dame-Green Pond, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.7 strikeouts. Will Saucon Valley keep running through batters, or will the Crusaders buck the trend?
