The Tome Titans put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 46-32 victory over North East. This was payback for Tome, who suffered a 61-30 loss the last time these two teams met.
Tome found their leader in underclassman Spencer Cain, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Cain is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Herold Beljour Jr., who scored 14 points.
Tome's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for North East, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Tome will head out on the road to face off against ASPIRA Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Perryville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
