The Covenant Classical Cavaliers will be playing at home against the Calvary Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Covenant Classical has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 458 points over their last nine contests.
Even though Victory Christian Academy scored an imposing 34 points on Friday, Covenant Classical still came out on top. Covenant Classical secured a 40-34 W over Victory Christian Academy.
Blake Schroeder continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, gaining 105 total yards and four touchdowns.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-30, which was the final score in Calvary Academy's tilt against Abilene Christian on Friday. While losing is never fun, Calvary Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Abilene Christian is ranked 29th).
Covenant Classical's win was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. As for Calvary Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
Covenant Classical skirted past Calvary Academy 2-0 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Will Covenant Classical repeat their success, or does Calvary Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
