In what's become a running theme this season, the Wenonah Dragons gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They breezed by John Carroll Catholic at home to the tune of 68-41. The victory was familiar territory for Wenonah who now have five in a row.
Wenonah's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Samarian Franklin, who scored 29 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Franklin has scored at least a third of Wenonah's points. Jakerria Ringstaff was another key contributor, dropping a triple-double on ten points, 11 assists, and ten steals.
Wenonah is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. As for John Carroll Catholic, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.
Wenonah will be playing in front of their home fans against Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pleasant Grove's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests. John Carroll Catholic will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Calera at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th.
