Island Coast lost against North Fort Myers back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Island Coast Gators fell just short of the North Fort Myers Red Knights by a score of 61-59. The Gators' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Island Coast lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mathias Harmon, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Izaiah Bacchus, who had 14 points.

Island Coast's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for North Fort Myers, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.

Island Coast will take on Bonita Springs in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Fort Myers and Cape Coral will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
