The Hagerstown Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Wapahani, falling 85-50. While losing is never fun, Hagerstown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while Wapahani is ranked 13th).
Despite the loss, Hagerstown still got an impressive performance from Kaagen Kendall, who scored 19 points. Kendall scored a full 38% of Hagerstown's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Schmitz, who scored 11 points.
It was another big night for Isaac Andrews, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 10 rebounds for Wapahani. The match was Andrews' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Bell, who scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds.
Hagerstown now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Wapahani, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Hagerstown will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Centerville at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Centerville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday. As for Wapahani, they will head out on the road to face off against Wes-Del at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
