Crescent and Clallam Bay are set to face off this Friday at 6:00 PM. Clallam Bay will need to watch out since Crescent has posted big point totals in its previous five matchups.
Crescent put forth a good scoring effort two games ago and even improved upon it last game, but that didn't prove quite enough. It has to be hurting after a devastating 78 - 46 defeat at the hands of Neah Bay last game. No one was more disappointed by the loss than junior Noah Leonard, who put up a significant resistance with three TDs. Leonard was also an imposing presence on the defensive end with 15 tackles. Leonard's longesttouchdown was a 42-yard scramble in the third quarter. Sophomore Eric Emery was an active contributor as well and provided 137 receiving yards. As for Clallam Bay, it ended up forfeiting its game against Tulalip Heritage last week 2 - 0.
After their losses, Crescent dropped to 2-3 and Clallam Bay dropped to 1-2. Both Crescent and Clallam Bay have been struggling on the defensive side of the ball (the former allowing an average of 42.67 points per game, the latter an average of 46.5 points per game). We'll find out which offense can take advantage of this fact when the two teams meet this week.
