Winside had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Wynot Blue Devils 61-19 on Friday. The Wildcats were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Ellie Topp and Hadleigh Schutt, who each put up seven points. Aftyn Schutt held things down on the boards with 12 rebounds.
Kenna Oligmueller went supernova For Wynot., shooting 50% from the field on her way to 17 points along with six steals and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiera Heimes, who posted five points and five steals.
