Basketball Game Preview: Community Christian Academy Warriors vs. Christian Family Academy Fire

Community Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Christian Family Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Warriors will welcome the Fire at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Christian Family Academy will be up against a hot Community Christian Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Warriors put the hurt on Pinnacle Classical Academy with a sharp 76-51 victory on Monday. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Community Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore JeKobe Floyd, who posted 26 points. Floyd's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. Chaden Poole was another key player, putting up 25 points.

Meanwhile, Christian Family Academy humbled Haywood Christian Academy with an 89-39 victory. That looming 89-39 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Fire yet this season.

Community Christian Academy better focus on containing Zeke Johnson and Toby Marsh as the pair were huge in Christian Family Academy's win. Johnson dropped a double-double with 27 points and 12 assists, while Marsh shot 69% from the field to rack up 22 points in addition to seven rebounds and four blocks. Thanks to that strong game, Johnson now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Danley, who put up five points along with 11 boards and five steals.

Christian Family Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Christian Family Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Community Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Community Christian Academy couldn't quite get it done against Christian Family Academy when the teams last played back in February as they fell 70-61. Thankfully for the Warriors, Charles Murray (who dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
