Ace Foley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Foley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Tyler Manning and Hunter Drake did most of the damage at the plate: Manning scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1, while Drake went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. Those two runs gave Manning a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dillon Drake, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holy Cross will head out to face off against Bryan Station at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Iroquois, they will head out on the road to square off against DeSales at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
