Cooper Nelson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 43 points and 2 assists. The game was his 14th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kylan Bester, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Simsboro is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Sterlington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
Simsboro didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Sterlington in their previous meeting back in November, but they still walked away with a 48-42 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Nelson, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
