Porter is 9-1 against Splendora since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Porter Spartans will look to defend their home court against the Splendora Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. Porter has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight defeats, while Splendora will come in with three straight victories.

Porter saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a blow against Fulshear, falling 61-17. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 601st, while the Chargers are ranked 70th).

Meanwhile, Splendora didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Navasota on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 47-42 win.

Porter's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Splendora, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.

Porter strolled past Splendora in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 by a score of 43-27. Will Porter repeat their success, or does Splendora have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
