The biggest upset of the week belonged to Greensboro, who took down 181st ranked American Christian Academy, 21-20. Jamarcus Singleton threw for 10 yards and one touchdown and ran for 63 yards in the win.
Fayette County extended the longest winning streak in 3A Region 3 this week by beating Holt, 35-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Tigers.
Sipsey Valley's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Garret Lewis threw for 124 and two touchdowns and Braylan Smith had 95 yards receiving. On the ground Trey White chipped in 102 yards. Tyler Duncan helped Sipsey Valley's passing attack out by catching two balls for 12 yards.
Lewis has thrown for 1133 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Smith has 18 catches for 520 yards. Lewis also leads the league in rushing with 491 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Raiders take on Gordo. At the moment, Greensboro is in fourth, while the Green Wave are in second.
Curtis Graves' team moved up to 217 from 248 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A Region 3. The Raiders were able to make the jump by beating the Patriots 21-20.
