The Mission Oak Hawks can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 78-67 victory over Hanford. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Mission Oak's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malakai Rodriguez, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Levi Jimenez was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
The victory got Mission Oak back to even at 11-11. As for Hanford, they bumped their record down to 8-13 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mission Oak will take on Dinuba at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Dinuba is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games. As for Hanford, they will head out on the road to take on Lemoore at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
