The Eldorado Sundevils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight defeat. They fell just short of Bonanza by a score of 38-35. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eldorado in their matchups with the Bengals: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Eldorado still got an impressive performance from Ty'Teaira Foreman, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Foreman has scored all season. Sara Torrico Lopez was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Eldorado has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-15 record this season. As for Bonanza, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eldorado will challenge the Archers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Amplus Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last 12 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Bonanza, they will head out on the road to square off against the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Somerset Academy Losee knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully the Bengals like a good challenge.
