The Clark Montessori Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 63-53 loss to Miami Valley Christian Academy. Clark Montessori lost against Miami Valley Christian Academy in their previous head to head back in January of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 49-40 score last time.
Miami Valley Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gavin French, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Casey Heap, who scored 13 points.
Clark Montessori bumped their record down to 3-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clark Montessori will face off against Purcell Marian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Lockland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
