The Wapahani Raiders lost against the Frankton Eagles back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Wapahani fell 57-48 to Frankton. Wapahani has struggled against Frankton recently, as their match on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Wapahani lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zoey Swallow, who scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. Destiny Felder was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Wapahani struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Wapahani's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Frankton, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4.
Wapahani will take on Cowan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cowan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Wapahani is ranked 131st). As for Frankton, they will head out on the road to face off against Oak Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Oak Hill's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Frankton's offense will have their work cut out for Frankton.
