The Kingsway Dragons lost against the Cherokee Chiefs back in October, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Kingsway fell 28-21 to Cherokee.
Benny Liles III and Thomas Popoff certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Liles III picked up 79 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Popoff threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns. Liles III was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 63 yards.
Kingsway's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Cherokee, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Kingsway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cherokee will face off against Marlboro at TBD on Friday.
