Bishop Gorman is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Foothill 56-6. The Gaels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Maika Eugenio was his usual excellent self, throwing for 291 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes. He has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaina Watson, who picked up 74 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
Another reason for the win was Bishop Gorman's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Prince Williams, Andreas Nicolaidis, and Poe Purcell Jr, who each picked up two sacks apiece. Another thorn in Foothill's side was Williams, who picked up two sacks and made seven total tackles (7.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Arbor View faced Liberty in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Friday. The Aggies came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 41-28.
Bishop Gorman better focus on containing Kamareion Bell and Thaddeus Thatcher as the pair were huge in Arbor View's win. Bell gained 186 total yards and two touchdowns, while Thatcher threw for 196 yards and three touchdowns. What's more, Bell racked up 138 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.
Arbor View was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 202 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Bishop Gorman's record is now 10-1. As for Arbor View, their record now sits at 8-3.
Tuesday's contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Eugenio and Thatcher. Eugenio just won't slow down this season and has thrown 37 touchdowns (and and only 5 pick) while averaging 250.9 passing yards per game. Thatcher has been a dominant force too and has thrown 28 touchdowns (and and only 5 pick) while averaging 244.1 passing yards per game.
Everything came up roses for Bishop Gorman against Arbor View when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 69-7 win. In that matchup, the Gaels amassed a halftime lead of 41-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
