The True North Classical Academy Titans will face off against the Chaminade-Madonna Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
True North Classical Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Saint Andrew's 62-28. The win was familiar territory for the Titans, who have now won ten games in a row.
It was another big night for Zachary Katz, who threw for 357 yards and five TDs while completing 74.1% of his passes, and also rushed for 33 yards and one score. Those five passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Gregory Florence was in the mix too, providing True North Classical Academy with two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: True North Classical Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 297 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

True North Classical Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut George Harris. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 defended passes per game. Zach Eguizabal was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks and making eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Chaminade-Madonna was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Edison 47-18. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now won six in a row.
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Malik Leonard and Michael Clayton. Leonard had a solid game and rushed for 30 yards and one score. Meanwhile, Clayton was balling out in the loss, throwing for 339 yards and three TDs while completing 72.4% of his passes.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Chaminade-Madonna's defense and their five sacks. RJ Alphonse was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Chaminade-Madonna got some further help from Bryant Junius: he picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles.
True North Classical Academy's record is now 10-2. As for Chaminade-Madonna, their record now sits at 9-2.
True North Classical Academy was taken down by Chaminade-Madonna 56-0 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
