The Jackson Academy Raiders put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Central Hinds Academy at home to the tune of 69-33. Fans of Jackson Academy have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Mike Williams was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was his 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Gaitor, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Jackson Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.0 points per game. As for Central Hinds Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Jackson Academy will head out on the road to face off against Heritage Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Heritage Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. Central Hinds Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Simpson Academy at 10:00 a.m. on December 27th.
