Avon Lake's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Danielle Hubert, who had 11 digs and two aces. Hubert is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Avon made easy work of Steele on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Avon was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20, 25-9.
Avon Lake better keep an eye on Madison Demmerle. She was instrumental in Avon's win, getting 23 assists and three digs. Those 23 assists gave Demmerle a new career-high.
Avon's win bumped their record up to 19-0. As for Avon Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
