Greater Johnstown has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Ligonier Valley Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Greater Johnstown strolled past Clearfield with points to spare, taking the game 60-43.
Meanwhile, Ligonier Valley humbled Valley with a 62-14 victory. The victory was just what Ligonier Valley needed coming off of a 61-27 loss in their prior contest.
Ligonier Valley's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lyla Barr, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Marlee Miller, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
The win got Greater Johnstown back to even at 1-1. As for Ligonier Valley, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.
Everything came up roses for Greater Johnstown against Ligonier Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 59-31 win.
