The Spring Woods Tigers's game on Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 50-38 win over South Houston. That's another feather in the cap for Spring Woods, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Melody Nowling, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Nowling also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Makyla Oliver, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
The victory got Spring Woods back to even at 7-7. As for South Houston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spring Woods will face off against Cypress Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Houston, they will head out on the road to face off against Pasadena at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pasadena focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Saturday.
