Scioto Valley recap November 5, 2013
Zane Trace's Trey Rittenhouse recorded the longest rushing play in Scioto Valley this season in his game against Unioto last week. Rittenhouse scampered for 81 yards on the play and finished with 202 on the day as his team bested the Shermans.
Fans got a thrill when Erique Hosley and Kyle Strange connected against Zane Trace. The longest such play in the league this season, the connection resulted in 80 yards.
Hosley was a passing and rushing force as Unioto lost to Gary Peters' team. He completed 9 passes for 213 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 90 yards. Hosley's favorite target this week was Strange, who caught 5 passes for 144 yards.
Devon Brewster put up the best numbers through the air as Piketon beat Southeastern. He finished with a total of 14 completions for 162 yards and 2 touchdowns. Brewster's favorite target this week was Stefan Thacker, who caught 7 passes for 96 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Redstreaks' Brewster and Shawn Collier have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-11 quarterback Brewster has thrown for 1,429 yards this season, while Collier has 32 catches for 507 yards. Nate Mettler from the Pioneers leads the league in rushing with 1,081 yards.
Paint Valley led Scioto Valley in scoring this week by notching 49 points on Huntington.
