They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 59-27 win over Westminster Christian Academy. Winning may never get old, but Briarwood Academy sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Briarwood Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kennedy Mosley led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Mosley is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. Aubrey Branan was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds.
Briarwood Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Briarwood Academy will take on Thomas Jefferson Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thomas Jefferson Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while Briarwood Academy is ranked 83rd). Westminster Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Augusta Prep Day at 4:00 p.m. on January 13th. Augusta Prep Day is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
