Baker is 2-8 against Northview since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Gators will be playing at home against the Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. Baker is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Northview will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Baker extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Gators never let Laurel Hill get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The Gators not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 9th (when they won 15-2).
Abigail Griffin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Griffin was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Adahline Burks was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three). Kenzie Ward was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
Baker always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Northview's offense. They fell 3-0 to Orange Beach on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Chiefs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
The win got Baker back to even at 7-7. As for Northview, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Baker has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Northview struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Baker might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Northview in their previous matchup last Tuesday. Will the Gators have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
