There's no place like home for the Diller-Odell Griffin, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Sterling with a sharp 50-25 victory on Friday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Diller-Odell has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Diller-Odell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cooper Morgan, who scored 15 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Morgan has scored at least 25% of Diller-Odell's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Warren, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.
Diller-Odell's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Sterling, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Diller-Odell will square off against Johnson-Brock at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Johnson-Brock is ranked 75th, while Diller-Odell is ranked 99th). As for Sterling, they will head out on the road to face off against Meridian on Tuesday.
