If the Franklin Wildcats were feeling good off their 88-63 takedown of the Pleasant Grove Eagles last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Franklin took a 71-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jesuit. Franklin has struggled against Jesuit recently, as their match on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Franklin's loss came despite strong showings from Aiden Rollins and Brandon Wasserman. Rollins scored 17 points along with six assists, while Wasserman scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gregory Piotrowski, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Franklin's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-4. As for Jesuit, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.
Franklin will be playing in front of their home fans against Davis Sr. at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Jesuit won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on January 13th.
