The Bennett Tigers will face off against the Yuma Indians at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bennett is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Middle Park 24-4 on Thursday. The Tigers have beaten the Panthers the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.
Cougar Cronk was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Bennett: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise.
