Kyle Bambard and Nik Heglin provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Mott. The connection went for 57 yards, the longest such play in Kensington Lakes - North this season.
Walled Lake Northern extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Kettering, 52-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Walled Lake Western's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Bambard threw for 135 and one touchdown and Heglin had 148 yards receiving. On the ground Joshua Jones chipped in 157 yards. Matt Carroll helped Walled Lake Western's passing attack out by catching one ball for 19 yards.
Walled Lake Western's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bambard has thrown for 727 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Jake Neracher has 21 catches for 312 yards. Bambard also leads the league in rushing with 498 yards.
A big matchup in Kensington Lakes - North this week will be when Lakeland takes on Walled Lake Northern. The Eagles are in first place, while Brett Moore's team is in third place.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Warriors take on Walled Lake Central. Walled Lake Western has allowed 80 points this season, while the Vikings have given up 183. Mike Zdebski's team allowed 13 points last week as it beat the Corsairs.
The Knights took down the Captains 52-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
