The Wiley Panthers will square off against the Cheyenne Wells Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wiley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Wiley turned things around against Springfield on Friday. They came out on top against the Longhorns by a score of 7-3.
Mason Grasmick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Wiley is 3-1-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 5-7 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Cheyenne Wells was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-6 to Stratton, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Marcus Bogenhagen made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Mason Marriott, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
The victory got Wiley back to even at 8-8-1. As for Cheyenne Wells, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Wiley has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .456. However, it's not like Cheyenne Wells struggles in that department as they've averaged .471. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wiley suffered a grim 11-4 defeat to Cheyenne Wells in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Will the Panthers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
