Layton Christian Academy (Layton, Utah) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 16-13 victory over
Summit Academy (Bluffdale, Utah) on Saturday. The Eagles took the lead for good when
Grayson Jackson thew a touchdown to
Brock Rawlings.
After taking the lead on a
Hagan Hines touchdown run, Summit Academy went into halftime with a 13-0 lead. The Eagles took the lead for good with a touchdown pass by Jackson to Rawlings in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring eight points in the third, Layton Christian Academy still trailed by five points going into the fourth quarter. But eight points in the fourth helped LCA pull out the victory.
Summit Academy (0-3) goes up against North Summit in a 2A - North game matchup next week, while Layton Christian Academy (2-1) locks horns with Gunnison Valley also in a 2A - North game.
