Football Recap: Cromwell/Portland's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Cromwell/Portland had won five straight games and Michael Sitaro Jr. did his part to make it six on Friday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Valley Regional/Old Lyme Warriors with a sharp 42-21 victory with plenty of help from Sitaro Jr., who rushed for 158 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 182 yards and three TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 104.5 rushing yards per game.

Another player making a difference was Tyler Cipolla, who gained 137 total yards and a touchdown. His longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards.

Cromwell/Portland's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Valley Regional/Old Lyme, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
