The Cascade Champions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 61-37 margin over Forrest. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-10.
Leading Cascade to victory were Sophie Ray and Kaegan Young. Ray scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Young scored 19 points along with two steals. Young has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaydence Miller, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Cascade is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-14 record this season. As for Forrest, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.
Cascade will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Community at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Community focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday. Forrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
