The Woodbridge Raiders had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Laurel by a score of 14-7 on Friday. The win was nothing new for Woodbridge as they're now sitting on four straight.
Traci Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 173 yards and two touchdowns. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played.
Woodbridge pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.2 points per game. As for Laurel, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Woodbridge will head out on the road to face off against Archmere Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Archmere Academy is ranked ninth, while Woodbridge is ranked 13th). Laurel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
