The Albemarle Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Gray Stone Day Knights with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Albemarle blew past Gray Stone Day, posting a 72-24 win at home. Albemarle has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 27 points or more this season.
Leading Albemarle to victory were Bianca Robinson and Amari Baldwin. Robinson dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds, while Baldwin scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Baldwin is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Karrington Baldwin was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Albemarle pushed their record up to 13-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Gray Stone Day, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Albemarle will be playing in front of their home fans against North Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully North Stanly focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 last Wednesday. As for Gray Stone Day, they will head out on the road to take on South Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Stanly comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
