Baseball Recap: Shadow Ridge's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

After a string of five wins, Shadow Ridge's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thurston Colts.

Colton Planeta and Brennan Lafitte did some serious damage despite the final result: Planeta went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Lafitte went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Shadow Ridge is 2-1 when Planeta posts two or more runs, but 5-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kael Leon, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Shadow Ridge now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Thurston, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Shadow Ridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Sherwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Thurston, they will venture away from home to face off against Dakota Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
