Sussex County Tech will be playing at home against the Lakeland Regional Lancers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Sussex County Tech's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Lakeland Regional has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Last Friday, Sussex County Tech was the victim of a tough 62-41 loss at the hands of Hackettstown. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sussex County Tech in their matchups with Hackettstown: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Lakeland Regional was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 52-48 to Passaic Valley.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Noah Pagan, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last four games he's played. Justin Meakem was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Sussex County Tech's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6. As for Lakeland Regional, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
Sussex County Tech took a serious blow against Lakeland Regional in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, falling 68-30. Thankfully for Sussex County Tech, Andrew Berkenbush (who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
