The Hartford Central Tanagers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Salem at home to the tune of 78-37. The victory was just what Hartford Central needed coming off of a 65-45 defeat in their prior contest.
Several Generals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josh Harrington, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Patrick Stone, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
The victory got Hartford Central back to even at 5-5. As for Salem, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hartford Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lake George at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Lake George focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Thursday. Salem won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Corinth at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th.
